eh. I own very few mangas. Most I read online. Like Bleach and Ai Yori Aoshi. I've been wanting to read Monster, but I cannot get my hands on it.
My friends, my comrades, let's write a sad, sad story! To you, my kindred souls, my fellow conspirators, I pose this question: Will you kill someone you love, because of love?

Let this query mark the opening act of our tragedy!!

Currently I'm reading/collecting Love Hina (4 volumes; 1, 4, 5, 7) , Inuyasha (6 volumes; 1-3, 10-12), and the ones in Shonen Jump (DBZ, Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Shaman King, Yu Yu Hakusho, One Piece, and Sandland).

I buy my manga from either Suncoast (video store; not rental) or Amazon.com. Suncoast is the only local store I've found that has any manga, plus they have this nifty 'buy one get the second half off' deal sometimes.

As for what else I have, I have Cowboy Bebop, Dragonball (2 volumes; 1-2) and a 4-volume Pokémon series. ^-^;;

I'd like to read some Ranma 1/2, but the books are costly and it's a looong story. I'd also like to read Hikaru no Go; it seems interesting to me. I'm sure there's a few other titles I'd like to poke at, but I can't think of any others at the moment...

the most recent one I read was i"s (about...3 weeks ago?). before that I read hikaru no go and before that Saishu-Heik(k)i Kanojo and before that DNA^2 and before that Ah! My Goddess and before that Love Hina and before that Tenjyou Tenge.

(all volumes of each, except for Saikano, where I read, hmmm, no idea actually :l. 4? 5?)

...not counting online comics, of course.

Waldenbooks and Borders are some of the best places to get English translated manga...better than most comic book stores.

Blame!
Cardcaptor Sakura
Chobits
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
GTO
INVU
Kare Kano
Kodacha

At the moment, I'm reading thru:

~Outlaw Star (book 2)

~Eden's Trail (an amazing-looking manga...the only thing wrong with it is..well, when you see Stan Lee's name before the comic...it just takes away from the overall experience...)

~Cowboy Bebop (book 3)

~Blade of the Immortal (book 1)

Ooo, finally some Blade of the Immortal readers. I've currently only got the first three graphic novels, but I'm going to order the next two tomorrow. And a Bastards!! reader... DS rocks! I have seen some Great Teacher Onizuka manga, as well as Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, at the local comic store but didn't know if they were any good... care to enlighten me? And Blood the Last Vampire:2002... heard it was better than the movie (which I'd expect... the movie was pretty bad only because it was ridiculously short and cut off right before anythin happened), but lesbian action yay.gif yay.gif yay.gif ... you rock Xeo! (also you have an incredibly kawaii avatar... go neko girls!!!)

Waldenbooks and Borders... gotcha... I'll have to save my next couple paychecks since I'll be in California for march break and in addition to having access to those stores I can go to Japan town, LA. biggrin.gif

GTO is a lot of fun. Onizuka is a pervert with a heart of gold! Definitely give it a shot if you want something funny and cool. The jokes are a little on the raunchy side. Onizuka is one of my all time favorite characters...I mean I can identify with him on many levels.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon I get mainly for the art, which is really really awesome. The dialogue is a touch on the stiff side. Read a few pages. The art is fantastic.

Pfff. Nah Comic book stores are the best. My borders and even my barnes and nobles suck for stock. But my comic book store has two wallfulls and a little island thingy inbetween as well. It all depends on where you are. Also, if you know the comic book store owners you can always make sure they get the series you want.
Don't blame me, I blame you.

Mekurat: You're lucky you have a cool comics store near you. I'd drool to see a manga section that large!! I've shopped at close to a dozen comic book shops and they've all been very anti-manga or stock very little (as in yeah we have AKIRA). One store owner shook his head one time and said, "how can you read that crap!" How stupid is that (he wasn't being sarcastic). Yeah, I don't shop there anymore. The Border's by me has more manga than the 4 closest comics shops COMBINED. But, I get most of it at Waldenbooks because they have that 10% discount card.

I find Barnes and Noble sucks for manga, though...all they seem to carry is Akira and Oh My Goddess.
