Lately I've been looking to become a better person and I already have a few goals in mind, but no one is perfect. Any suggestions?
I'll start us off:
*Spend less time on the TV/computer
*Excersise more
*Spend more time with my parents and letting the people I love know that I love them.

By the way these ways are only each person's goals. I wanted to put this in General but it seemed crowded and this is my other favorite sub-forum.

*Spend less time on the TV/computer <--- wont make you a better person, maybe alot healthier, but not a better person

*Excersise more <--- as above

*Spend more time with my parents and letting the people I love know that I love them. <--- cant hurt

:)

my goals all involve living forever and not working hard ..... meh, if you don tset high goals you wont achieve high things right?

:x

so i set really high goals to make up for my lack of effort

woot i'm so smart :p

oh and, i wish you luck in your quest

Less tv I can see.. I mean, hell there's never anything good on anyways.
Less computer.. kind of an odd thing to suggest on the internet

More ecks-sir-size..? you mean more ddr

More parent love time..? Hell no.. I litterally can't trust either of my parents. My mom and I have comunication issues.. I can hardly talk to her about anything. And my dad.. well we're a bit to alike..

I wasn't criticizing your goals. Personally my only self-betterment goals include working just enough to pass school which I do anyways. Other than that, I'd say your goals stack up pretty well for most of the nation.

as long as they dont change who you are, set any goals... currently, my goal is to loose my flabbey gut lol, wich in a sense would make me a beter person because it would raise my self-esteem knowing i look good.....don't over-exercise yourself though. just remember, you're already a better person by setting these goals for yourself. i make so sense so i'll leave..

well, yes the TV can go. I am horribly addicted to "Angel" right now.

as for the computer, I LOVE it. Why do I love it? The wealth of knowledge all over the internet. And I love learning. Really, just try going out and learning something random on the internet. let's see... "Porphyria"! go go go!

more excercise, yeah that'd probably be good... but eating healthly is a possible way to get around that... and rounds of WALLBALL! (the paint is falling off our garage door now... let's just hope my parents don't get wise about what could be causing it)

well I definetly agree with talking to people and letting them know you love them... but I can't quite stand my parents, so I just get by trying to stay in the sanctuary of headphones.

as for my own goals? survive school. get 5s on the AP tests this spring. 0wn my bro in wallball.
Props to my only fangirl, jello.

To better myself you say? Hmm... I hate myself in general but I don't feel like changing myself because I don't see anything wrong with my personality. Just everything else. I could probably stand to be less mean though. I don't have any kind of motivation to work or strive for change but the one thing I truly want is to make some money to move away and live with... *gets killed before she can finish her sentence*

Destroying Feminism and making true equality for the masses if they desire it.
"So you think I'm a loser? Just because I have a stinkin' job that I hate, a family that doesn't respect me, a whole city that curses the day I was born? Well, that may mean loser to you, but let me tell you something. Every morning when I wake up, I know it's not going to get any better until I go back to sleep again. So I get up, have my watered down Tang and still-frozen PopTart, get in my car -- with no upholstery, no gas and six more payments -- to fight traffic, just for the privilege of putting cheap shoes on the cloven hooves of people like you. I'll never play football like I thought I would, I'll never know the touch of a beautiful woman, and I'll never again know the joy of driving without a bag on my head. But I'm not a loser. 'Cause despite it all, me and every other guy who'll never be what he wanted to be, are still out there, being what we don't wanna be, forty hours a week, for life. And the fact that I haven't put a gun to my mouth, you pudding of a woman, makes me a winner!"---- Al Bundy

Reading and applying the Biblical teachings, then share them with others who are ready and willing to listen.

Doing the same, except with Star Wars.

AND HOW THE HELL DOES THAT BETTER YOURSELF?

sure, life isn't all about bettering yourself, but it's sort of not related...

(although I guess it would better the people in that they gain knowledge, and possible adopt a new viewpoint. Though the key is 'willing to listen'. Wanna make a promise to me and say that you'll never start prostelitizing to people who don't care?)

I do not want to be a vampire. I would feel too restricted by not being able to not touch anything like fire, water, wood, sunlight, et cetera. But I must admit that I am not very fond of direct sunlight.

Perhaps I could better myself as a vampire fan by developing a taste for blood.

I definitely need to spread my trust a little more. Also, I need to take my responsibilities more seriously, and when not being responsible I need to loosen up a lot more. I need to be more carefree, like I used to be. biggrin.gif

Realistically

Exercise even more!!!! MUHAHAHA!!! 3 hours everyday isn't enough XD.gif
(ok maybe not realstic, 5 hours of sports after 7 hours of college nearly killed me)

Improve my people skills

Improve my memory (is this possible?)

Learn to cook a mean stir fry

Pretty happy with how I've evolved over years but...

Unrealistically
-----------------

Get better natural eyesight

Improve all aspects and areas of my life tongue.gif
