I only know of three comics that you listed, and I need to check my eyes if the girl in the first panel is not almost similar looking to Sawachika Eri, but with longer hair.

Other than that...

*blinks*

I see that you managed to ink it(I think...)...I almost thought that Tsunami and the professor changed hairstyles. (well maybe with Tsunami since the hairpiece is different)

I've read a bit of that. Hayate seems really like Oniichan, aside from the kidnapping and so on sweatdrop4.gif I didn't really get a sense of what the story would become, but it has a nice feeling.

I think Hayate seems more like Alex, since the girl is asking him to cross dress, and with fox ears....

I've also only heard of three of the manga in the list.... and my favorite of the three? definitely Detective Conan! it amazes me that Aoyama is still going - on the website you linked to, it showed up to volume 50 (btw, for those of us in the US, I heard over the weekend that they're gonna start running new episodes again soon.... don't know if it's just a rumor or not, though)

Afraid I havn't seen that manga. Is it likely theres a fan translation floating around the web? ^_^;;

Nice job though, Akira. Your drawing isn't looking too bad at all from the last 2 new strips.

Hm, I know about five of those comics you listed below (Conan, Gash Bell, Yakitate Japan, MAR, Inuyasha). Too bad they hadn't translated this particular series to Chinese yet when I was in Taiwan.

Even if I've never heard of that particular comic before, I know of quite a few other comics (mostly Webcomics) to which most or all of the Professor's comments apply...and Tsunami's concerns. sweatdrop4.gif

All of those except "Major" are being published here, most of them in the same magazine. Except for Yakitate and Conan I don't read them regularly though.

---First Chapter Spoiler --- (is that even considered one?)

Hayate seems to me like a non-self-conscious head-over-heels-form of Oniichan after browsing through the link to the first chapter. It looks like he still believes in Santa Claus, works as a bicycle courier, finds about 150.000.000 Yen (1.5 million $) of yakuza money and flees, saving the (still unknown) girl from molesters in the process and asking her to date him as a reward. From then on it becomes too kanji-heavy and I dropped trying to understand the text sweatdrop4.gif

--- end spoiler ---

Looks nice I think, but the art is average und nothing unusual.

The only one I've heard of was Inuyasha, and that's only thanks to a friend.
...
But I did read the Viz Ani-MAnga of Inuyasha The Movie. I was impressed with it; if I can find it for rent or cheap for sale on DVD, I'll definitely check it out.

I've heard of all the series. Never read any of the manga, but am following Ueki no Honsoku (Law of Ueki) in anime form~ I quite love it! Ueki is such a fun character! The only other one I've actually seen is InuYasha but the one I'm least familar with is Major (Sports manga have little interest for me, buit I do think it's a Baseball manga from what I know)

I'm such a nut... I can even identify anime I've never actually seen.

That combat butler of yours, did he ever bite someone's nose off? (Catch the reference!)

Hayate - never heard of it.
Detective Conan - read it, love it.
Inuyasha - tried to read it, got bored.
Yakitate Japan - read it, love it. Makes me want to go to a circus.
Mar - read it, love it. Even better than Flamme of Recca.
Major - Saw it somewhere. Didn't look interesting.
Ueki no Housoku - never heard of it.

Here's a few screencaps from the Ueki no Honsoku (Law of UEki) anime. For those interested.

The Green-haired boy is Ueki Kousuke, The girl is Mori Ai.

The story is about a dense boy who will persevere through anything for his sense of Justice. He was selected by a Heavenly Being for a contest to become God. The Heavenly Beings select a Middle School Student and give them a power to change something into something else (Ueki has the power to change trash into trees - yay recycling!) and they fight against the other candidates students. What do the students get out of it? The talent to do anything they want.

I've heard of/seen all of those except for Major...as the for the strip, Akira-sensei, out of curiousity, how long do they take you? I'm not subtly insulting or anything like that...I'm just curious. There's just something about the strips here that just makes me hold them in high regard...as for Hayate though..it seems pretty interesting.

Just keeping up here... are we to rejoice at the return of ExKoCo or is this just some cruel game fate is playing with our fragile hopes.

Because by golly if Akira is back on track, let's get the freaking party hats out!!!
