at first i thought that both were the same girl. a cool apperance for school and a dorky apperance at home look. then i remembered thats already been done in kare kanno. then i relized that was a guy on the right. and then i hated myself for mistaking yet another male character for a girl >_>

Much better style - the pencil and color. I'd gladly trade inking for a bit of soft color anyday,

EC: maybe they're still the same person. Crossdresser? Magical transformation?

Hm. The art style's very different!

I kinda like it in this sort of situation, it's a new direction and idea so a new art style to go along with it. I think it'd look out of place for ExCoKo (where I, personally, preferred the thick outlines/thin lines style the most), but it works here.

I'm ashamed to say I spent a couple of seconds looking at the kitty Kei-san is holding, and wondering if it was a squirrel. *rubs eyes* It's not that it's not clear, it's just that I've been sleeping too long. happy.gif

Opposite/different from "harsh/secretly in love"? I'm not sure I get it. Something like, shockingly honest and direct, but low-key and casual about the whole thing? That would indeed be a different character, a type I haven't seen before. Or I could have misunderstood completely. :) Either way, this could be interesting.

Kei's got different eyes, they're not the same person. But does look sort of feminine, but I suppose that's the "Kind" type.

oh i took into consideration the whole idea of cross dressing or wearing a wig, but as i said since its already been done in Kare Kano then i didnt think Akira was going for that

Mmmm...interesting idea your working on there Akira. I wonldn't mind seeing you experiement with this over the time frame. ^^

This might make an interesting concept. I'm too familar with the Tsun Dare types out there so seeing this may open room for new probablities. XD We'll see. XD

Yeah, it was down for a while for me too.

Su-cool sounds like it's a pun for "school", although I guess it isn't from what you were saying. Also what's the opposite of "harsh/blunt but totally in love"? "Pretending to like each other but not being brave enough to say that they really don't"? sweatdrop4.gif Or is it the other 'cool' (kakko ii)?...

It looks quite nice pencilled, its certainly good considering the hour or 2 it saves you, from what you say sweatdrop4.gif It seems like a good idea for detailed work (Magical Mina). If I could say one thing, I think it would look better if the lines were darkened (since they're lost against the strong blues / greys), or use pastel colours. Although I'm no artist... piggy.gif

Anyway, I like short stories so I'm looking forward to this smile.gif

Tsun Dere are helplessly in love, but they aren't honest about it. That's what the the 'Sunao' in Su-cool is about, honesty.

Such a character might have been done before, but I guess now they want to make it a popular archetype? ^^;

I have plans for such a character before, but it's a he ^^

So a "Su-Cool" is a more confident girl in love? One who's open about her feelings?

I think I still prefer the crazy psycho types. Shizuru (Mai Hime)! wub.gif

"Sunao Cool" sounds like I might actually like it, I'm fed up with those rude girls who are just unwilling to admit they're in love. I didn't know there was a term for that too.

I'm curious about how this will work out... the characters look like it's the typical "cool guy, ashamed cute girl", only switched.

Hm, I'm starting to think I have a thing for cool, down-to-earth girls in love.

Actually, it's because it is very much the norm - the girl is happy, in love, and open about it. The guy - he's wondering why he's with such a babe. Lol.

Looking for a new ai type-casting? What about a normal couple who's actively seeking their passion to distract themselves from being in love, as opposed to pursuing it? (In other words, they try to do things for themselves in order to avoid getting engaged in a relationship?) I don't know it that's within the boundaries of moe, since it seems most moe casts always seem to include only passive types. Why not active individuals who never realized they'd get into a relationship?

Kei looks like he came of Ken Akamatsu's (however you spell his last name...the Love Hina guy) workshop. (Glasses and looks completly clueless) But this is the type of person you've come to expect into getting into a love situation. So for him, I'd say chose someone more spunkier.

As for the girl, if there's a side that hasn't been explored yet very much, it's how well of a partner she can be at work (in a proffesional/non-romantic relationship way), hence it seems alot seem to be shooting for the bossy meganekko type. But if you can show her being proffessional with what she does without always having to rely on the "bossy" syndrome, then all the better.

Kaede is my favorite character from shuffle sweatdrop4.gif I missed watching the episode 19 ;_; I heard so many great comments about that episode. People are saying "So when did "Double Cast (PlayStation game)" turned into anime?"

I'm all for debasing accepted stereotypes. Sounds nice!

Though, I think a good chunk of main-role-guys in relationships seem to be pathetic, clueless, or otherwise socially inept or something... I wonder if that one will ever be replaced with anything? My perception of said guys might be off, though...

*spoilers for shuffle better not read if you havent seen 19 yet*

Kaede (and Nerine) are my favorites as well which is why watching episode 19 was so scary/chilling . watching Kaede slowly go bat shit insane after we just assumed she was nothing more then a background character really takes you by surprise (though shuffle would never do some of the things that photo shops are doing, like blood splattering all over and Kaede holding a knife and stabbing asa in the throat. danm those edits are scarier then 'School Days')

danm i'm now scared of Moe girls X_x (nah i'm kidding i still like Kaede. even if she's a bit nuts)

so whats double cast akira? some famous ps game about pycho chicks?

Never watched the anime (I'm usually very disappointed with anime rendition of bishoujo games so I prefer to avoid them) but my favourite character in the game is Asa (which IMO has the second best story -- after Rimu). Too bad the game is a bit... boring to play (especially Nerine's route).

Well, the game tells about Kaede once being quite a scary girl, when she was a kid, was hating Rin for (or so she thought) having caused the death of her mother... and repeately trying to kill him. In fact, he still has a scar from when Kaede stabbed him in the chest.
So, yeah, I'd assume that if you push her enough... rolleyes.gif
"Tragic, deceptive, insane, innocent-looking, manipulative, immoral, lonely... it's what makes a girl fascinating and desirable. So lonely and hurt in her heart you absolutely want to comfort her, so insane and immoral you absolutely fear to become close to her, so deceptive and manipulative you wonder if you're acting out of your free will.
This is what I call 'fascination'. This is what describes my ideal girl."
