I was reading Questionable Content earlier. He linked to a news story about QC being used in a comic project by kids. It's the picture with the article that's interesting, though:

That looks like plushie Loki on the can! Pretty cool. It's nice that SGVY is being used to teach inner city youth like that.

I did a Google search on the comic project. It has a website where comics are posted:
http://ccproject.comicgenesis.com
Interestingly, an SGVY comic is currently on the front page.

I thought the project is called "Create a Comic", not copy one.

My love again
The end will come quickly
Don't try again
To make amends
You'll just end up sinking
If you explode in aftermath
Don't think you've been dreaming
Destroy, she said
My love again
When it's not worth keeping...

Yeah, but you gotta learn how to draw somehow.

The site's pretty clear where the art comes from, so the guy isn't taking credit for it (which would definitely be plagiarism). Also, it looks like the kids make original comics, too. Similar to how painters study the masters by copying them, and then move on to their own work.

I'll give them that much then, but I'm a horrible old person, and those kids need to stay off my lawn.
