And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts, and I looked and behold, a pale horse, and his name that said on him was death, and hell followed with him.

Oh geez. Too late, and now i cant do the ninja idea i just thought of:some random landscape. Where's the ninja? that's the point. You're not supposed to see him, lol.

I wonder why marieusagi didn't rate well on concept. IMHO, di3s3l_666 and marieusagi both seem better as to the concept of the ninja, which is utter concealment. NDX's looks too muscular, much like a superhero. And it's too bright a background. Marieusagi, although not heavily shrouded in darkness, does have the prerequisite weapons, and as per my description of ninja and kunoichi, is nearly impossible to tell male from female. Is it a thin man with long hair, or a muscular woman with a tough-looking eye scar?

Can't stay too concealed without a silencer on your handgun :P

Maybe people like the NDX's concept because it strays from the norm, rather than being a stereotypical ninja. I'm not sure anyone cares too much how the votes go, it's just for fun.

That's because I don't know how to properly draw weapons.
:P

But enough excuses, it definitely has to have a silencer.

I guess the variety of entries is making the voting for concept pretty difficult (since we got a gun ninja, superhero ninja, ninja ninja, and not-really ninja). They're all fairly striking.

But... if a ninja fires a gun, and there is no-one left alive to hear it, does it make a sound?

I think it works better without, personally. Kind of like, "I can be right next to you, kill you, and don't even need to hide myself to do it". Otherwise he might as well have something properly subtle like poison or at least a sniper rifle?

I appreciate you looking at my drawing so closely. ^_^ I wasn't really sure if I should make the ninja a male or female so I tried to leave it ambiguous. I guess everyone has their own opinion about ninja's and in terms of voting, all the entries are well done.

I actually think it probably looks better as is because silencers aren't exactly cool looking. I was kind of just kidding before, but their are actually microphone systems in-place in different areas which will detect gunfire, trigulate the location, and call police automatically. I guess a good ninja could deal with that, but it isn't exactly stealthy.

actually 20th-21st century ninja would rely more on intel and up to date knowledge of security technology, not to mention ranged weapons. So a sniper would be a more likely candidate. Either that or have the assassination mission planned for long term and assimilate into the target's circle of trust before taking him out.

Oh and silencers look awesome IMO.

The only city that i know of that uses that particular system is Las Vegas. Its cheaper than the city spending money on cameras, when all the casinos are covered in them, inside and out, and all they have to do is figure out what casino camera records they need to access.

It's spreading...They just tried a system like that in San Jose, and Sacramento is debating it...
