Kotone Channel: Watch Kotone Sleep, 24/7. :D

Man, that's horribly cute. Although she's even... well, she's younger-looking, after all that experience Akira had drawing Mai, which isn't a bad thing; she looks her apparent age, if not a bit younger.

...

Which makes the alternate Kotone ending even more wrong now, in retrospect.

blush.gif Of course the sheep would have it's own pillow. Is the sheep making sleeping noises as well? I love the Kotone on the right panel- especially her hair.

She's just soo cute...
Makes me want to sleep...
Well...
I just woke up and am feeling rather sleepy...

How can the sheep make noises during it's sleep?
It's like how Wolfy had that many expressions...
The stuffed toys are becoming sentient!

514 strips in, the pun is finally made happy.gif

The big Kotone illustration is cute~ Actually, it feels like there's something different about the art since the previous Excoko strips, but I can't put my finger on it... maybe just higher contrast lines?

I think this is the first time we've seen big Kotone-chan.

Something else I've been wondering about...Kotone is probably the most child-like character on here, but, and this thought comes from 2010: Odyssey Two, would computers develop emotionally much faster than humans?
We need more plots.

I think they might - if they were designed with the possibility in mind. It would also be possible to program them so they develop more slowly or at a human rate. Since the Professor and Tsunami wanted to create an android which was as close to human as possible, I'd guess they went for a more temperate development rate.

Or, since Professor likes loli, it's also possible for Kotone to be 12 forever.

Physically, she'll probably be 12 forever. Mentally... we'll see - Tsunami seemed to want her to be normal, however, which probably suggests that Kotone will develop SOMEWHAT emotionally. The former is because the professor has an overdeveloped love of H-game situations (which is why Onii-chan's stuck in his current mess; Love Sim Syndrome + Childlike Imouto = h-game of his dreams).

But why would you tell a mentally 12 year old that she's 18?

I think it makes a lot of sense that Tsunami would make her so that she grew up as normally as possible, and would've probably had complete control as such, otherwise, Akira would've snuck some of his 'akira-ness' in there somehow.....

Hmmm, now I don't know....

Edit: Actually, with that said, I don't think it's very unlikely that Akira would've stuck in a mental 'trigger' on Kotone.
We need more plots.

To mess with onii-chan's mind.

More likely so she'd fit the 'lolita' stereotype. It backfired though, since she doesn't act more mature than her appearance, but rather the reverse.

I somewhat remember Kotone acting a bit older in the scripts, but then Onii-chan pestered her into acting her apparent age. Well, sorta. She always acted like she was fairly immature.

This is unfair for this sheepish pillow. Object want to be useful. You don't treat well an object if you don't allow it to be useful (This is how the Wani-guchi born.). In japanese culture, person but also object can become ghost. This show include Shion so ghost are possible and ill-treat object often haunt the humans that not treated them well. Kotone will have trouble if she's followed around with bakemono.

Surtout que Kotone est facilement effrayée.

S.P.P.

Yes! Hooray!
(For the non-Japanese-speakers, the verb "sleep" can be said "neru" so "Tsunami Channeru" is both "Tsunami Channel" and "Tsunami-chan sleeps".)
