Well, I figure I should start an Art Dump so I don't clutter up the forum with all my topics I would put up here.
So with that said, lets start with the first posting...

Tittle: Alice in Wonderland!
Mediums Used: Brush & Ink work, Photoshop

Posted Image

Comments:
So in this scene I drew, we have Alice in the woods with the white rabbit. She is there resting just before she heads to meet the Mad Hater, who by the way, is just plain mad. Anyway, I did a lot of different things in this picture. First thing I did differently was the inking process I used. Instead of using my favorite ink pens, I decided to use the brush with india ink. The other big thing I decided to try was to actually paint the lineart so where it would soften the picture. It was a long process I did and I think this is the longest I ever spent on a picture. I spent at least over 20 hours on the process. I do realize I need more practice in doing these techniques I've used here in this picture. Overall I do like this picture and I feel I will use the technique for painting my lineart again in future pictures. Just need to get more practice done with it. =)

Tittle: Ella Linsdack Bust #2
Mediums Used: Pen & Ink, Photoshop

Posted Image

Comments:
So I did another drawing of my character, Ella Linsdack from my comic story called Romancing Dragon. I did a pencil drawing of this a couple of months ago at an anime convention I went to called AkiCon. It was during a workshop panel I went to where I did a failed attempt at doing an animation cell.

So I thought it was a real nice drawing so I pulled it out and Inked it and did the usual with photoshop. I tried to paint the lineart again. I think I'm getting the hang of that I believe. If you have any pointers for me, please don't be afraid to tell them to me. I want to get better at this. Anyway, enjoy the art. =)

Tittle: The Hillside Hike
Mediums Used: Pen & Ink, Photoshop

Posted Image

Comments:
Here is Ella Linsdack again. A character from my comic Romancing Dragon. Here I have her waking up a hill and it looks as if she has reached the top of the hill overlooking the forest below.

This picture was a challenge for me to do. I originally thought that this one was going to be an easy one to do but it wasn't. The drawing was the easiest part of the whole thing. I had computer issues when I was coloring and Photoshop crashed a few times on me. But I did finish it finally.

Overall I like this one. There are areas where I would like to improve on. I also would like to take a trip up a hill like this one to see how everything looks like in this picture in real life. I have hills near me large enough that on some days, the clouds do touch them. Anyway, hope you enjoy this one. =)

Sorry to hear about the computer troubles. I have PS Elements myself and even that can be a resource hog sometimes (especially if I work with an image with several layers), but I don't think I've had it out-and-out crash on me. (Other computer troubles - specifically a couple of hard drive failures - have made me a big believer in backups and multiple saves of a work in progress...)

This is a good image you've got here - Pose and lighting are good for the foreground, and the clouds look nice and puffy. If there's one thing I'd change it would be the trees in the background - I gather they're in a valley or plain below the hill? This is a good chance to give some depth to the background - I'd have a layer of trees near the bottom at the same color you've got here, a second layer above and behind that's a slightly lighter shade, and a third layer that's lighter still. This would help simulate the haze that comes from seeing something very far away.

That said, it's a good image, and I'm glad to see you drawing again. Hope to see more from you in future.

Thank You Cassini for the tips on the background. I should have thought of that actually. =)
And I also had that issue in the past too with my computer so I to do regularly back-ups to my system too.

Tittle: Feeling Blue Ella
Mediums Used: Pen & Ink, Photoshop

Comments:
Well this one I decided to try something different by using only one color and using different shades of that color. This time I decided on blue. In the past I have worked with something similar to this. I thought I would give it a try like this again. Hope you enjoy! =)

Tittle: Kit-Kat Tiger Character Designing
Mediums Used: Pencil

Posted Image

Comments:
Here is a rare look into how I develop character ideas. Here is an idea that I've been wanting to do for a long time and I'm finally getting around to doing it. This character is Kit-Kat Tiger. Actually this is an idea derived from my girlfriend who is being interpreted into my website design, being Jimmy's girlfriend, and also for a comic that I'm planing on doing from time to time.

This is just a look into that thought process of mine that I do when I draw a new character. The first drawing from here is the left most drawing that is the full body shot. It was a bad quick sketch I did sitting in front of the TV. The second and third ones are done on the same page. I took the first drawing and refining a little. I tried doing glasses seeing my girlfriend, like me, wears glasses. However I voted against the glasses in the next drawing. Finally when I have an idea how it's going to look, then I try a final sketch that would say how the character is going to look and that one is the bottom drawing. However, I sort of abandoned this drawing seeing I forgot to add the tiger ears on top of her head. Maybe I will abandon the ears all together or put them in? I haven't decided yet.

Well there is the rare look into my thought process of developing characters. Hope you enjoyed this slight demo into my thinking. =)

Tittle: Cover Issue - Chapter 00
Mediums Used: Pen & Ink, Photoshop

Posted Image

Comments:
Here is the cover Issue for Chapter 00 of Romancing Dragon. I decided to try my hands into making a prequel to the story of Romancing Dragon staring my character, Lyle. It sort of sets things up to start the story. I call this issue the Training Issue.

Well, it's been a while since I've drawn a guy in my drawings but here is proof that I also draw men as well as women. Well, in this drawing I decided to really push myself with it. Decided to try an epic drawing if you might say. It's been a while since I've done an epic drawing. Mostly I've been working on these things that takes a day or two. This one, I spent 2 days on the pencils and inks and 4 days on the colors and effects. I would guess total hours on this was about 30. It's been a long time since I've spent this long on a piece. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this one. I sure do. =)

Title: Sarah
Mediums Used: Pen & Ink, Photoshop

Comments:
Here is one that I did in a simple afternoon when I was sitting at home and decided to just draw. I was inspired to do this one and that is just that. Well it is a random girl that I drew so to go with my naming scheme with other drawings like this I named her with the first name that pops into mind. In this case, the name was Sarah. I hope the name suits her. I think she is pretty cute, don't you? =)

Mediums Used: Pen & Ink, Marker Rendering, Color Pencil

Here is another random drawing of a girl. I sort of named her Tina. Well anyway, I did this drawing when I was sitting at OtakuCon in Spokane Washington when I had an Artist Table there. I did it in Pen & Ink and colored it with my Prismacolor Markers and finished it off with my color pencils. Here it is and hope you enjoy it. =)
