You know we love you and all that Akira, but going two years without at least a status update is a bit mean :/

Heh, I could tell you "Why" but I unfortunately feel that this is something very personal that only Akira should tell his fans. I cannot explain it, but I did learn about it from someone close to him. But like I said, personal stuff. I will say things have changed for Akira and he's doing better.

But that's all I'm saying...

Figures, there's no real need to know why anyhow. Things changes sometimes and well, I just hope he's doing well what ever happens in his life. I thank him for the exciting stories and laughs I had from reading Tsunami Channel!

It was one of my favorites growing up! One of the first webcomics I read. <3

Heh

I'm going on a wild whim here but I'm guessing Professor Hasegawa met a lady-friend and things are going well for them =]

Lady friends tend to take a lot of time, I know T__T !

Only a 'lady friend' could be considered 'doing well' / 'better' but leave a man having less time for other things =P. For explanation, see oatmeal comic about inventor Nikola Tesla : http://theoatmeal.com/comics/tesla

It's a surprise and an indication of how much people used to enjoy the comics to see people still posting here, even after two years without any new strip, though.
"Tragic, deceptive, insane, innocent-looking, manipulative, immoral, lonely... it's what makes a girl fascinating and desirable. So lonely and hurt in her heart you absolutely want to comfort her, so insane and immoral you absolutely fear to become close to her, so deceptive and manipulative you wonder whether you're acting out of your free will.
This is what I call 'fascination'. This is what describes my ideal girl."

I hate to revive an old thread but I stumbled upon my old bookmarks and came to the Tsunami Channel. This use to be my favorite comic and I was sad to see that the page hasn't been updated in two years. The archives were entertaining as I read them again, I real loved your work. If your thinking of bring it back please do so.
It seems that this comic is dead and wanted conformation so as to have closure. Are you planning to update Tsunami Channel?

As one who has loyally followed Akira and have some good connections with his friend Konstantin. I cannot say for sure if this is dead... yet. I've spoke before that things have changed in Akira's life, but I still cannot reveal the answer out of his own respect. I am hopeful though that he will come around and tell his fans what's going on with him. You all might be surprised when you find out.

Just remember that Akira's job is also rather time consuming too. So take that into consideration for his delays.

Water quietly lurks in the background

I have a lot of good memories from these forums, and the comics. Found myself waxing a bit nostalgic and went skimming through the archives. It saddens me a bit, how people have drifted away and forgotten the rest of us (Akira included?), though I'll probably be here until the bitter end. I still check the comic regularly, and check into the forums every once in a while.

It's good to hear that Akira is alive and (presumably) healthy though, so thanks for the news Totaku. Even if you are being all coy about it. Maybe he'll drop by again one day, and I'll be able to formally thank him for all the memories. In any case, I wish him well.
drakahn: junichi died in that plane crash didnt he?
XD XD ok ok, so we can hope ne?

Akira: I wish he did too... ^_^;

Aye, I've gone through them yet again, always a fun read.

Due to some trouble that happened to me a few years ago, my memory has been very hazy, so returning to reread this, and nearly remembering nothing of it at all (although I did recall reading it before) was entertaining as if I stumbled upon it for the first time.

Akira, take as much time as you need, I will wait patiently as always.
Experience is a difficult situation turned inside out.

I hadn't thought about these forums or Tsunami Channel in ages, checked back on a whim, and hey--every now and then some oldbie still floats by, so that's what I'm doing here. Hey anyone and everyone! TC sure provided a heck of a lot of good memories and fun times.

Still kicking~ And I'm still hoping to see it kept alive, even if only to read through the archives every time I think "Tsunami Channel". =]
