So yeah! I bought myself a ukulele! A red, cute little thing that I named Amelia. After the sweet, fellow ginger, Amelia Pond in the doctor Who series. I've never played an instrument with strings earlier but I think I'm doing rather well! I've learned how to tune her and I know four chords! I'm having quite a hard time with the strumming though. But I watched some youtube clips that really helped me out!

Earlier on I've only played the recorder. I have a tenor and an bass. Been playing since I were seven! It's really fun and I know how to play Time's Scar from Chrono Cross Practiced hours and hours! It's so strange. Why is it called recorder? It doesn't make sense! Here in Sweden it is called "block" flute. And in english it doesn't even have flute in it's name. I'm really puzzled over this.

Anyway! Now I'm giving it my all on the ukulele! (Not forgetting my flutes though <3) I really want to learn some songs. My friend gave me twist and shout as homework. I really would like to learn some Beatles songs. We'll see how it all works out!

So guys, do any of you play an instrument?

I've always wanted to play an instrument. Maybe I should get around to it one of these days. Most likely the guitar would be my personal instrument of choice. Back in middle school and high school I did play a flute in band, but it's been so long I don't remember how to play. :3

Yeah, that's why I bought the ukulele instead of a clarinet. ^^; A ukulele just costs 250 SEK, about 35 USD. Bought mine for 295 SEK though. Well well. <3

Aw, but so nice that you've stuck to something that long! My ukulele is not all that good, bought the cheapest one just to see if I would like it. And I really did, now I want to buy one that don't get out of tune from you just looking at it. >:(

I'm going to begin learning ukulele in one of my classes next semester, and will be helping teach it to little kids at the same time. Really, we'll be learning together.

My brother also requested that I get him one for his birthday this year (I jut moved to Hawaii 10 months ago, so I'm at the prime location to get some good ones), which I really need to get on. Thanks for the reminder!

North shore is fun, my wife and I took a tour of the world botanical gardens on the northeast side that was awesome too.

Yeah, one of my work sites is on the north shore (Kahuku, if that rings a bell), so I'm up there a couple times a month. I don't usually have the time or the chance to explore much, though. I have to borrow a friend's car whenever I head that way, so I feel like I need to return it as soon as possible. Hopefully I'll have my own car by the end of the summer.

Wish I could remember names. The only names that stick with me that we visited are Hanoma bay, diamondhead, goat island near the polynesian cultural center and waikiki of course.
